The 15th edition of the Osheaga Music Festival was held at the Park Jean-Drapeau in 2022, and it's no exaggeration to say that the festival was a total banger. 120,000 people descended to the event in Montreal, which came back after a three-year hiatus due to the global pandemic.  

Organizers of the fest came with a bang, offering an eclectic mix of Hip-Hop, Electronic, and Indie Rock music genres with many local and internationally famed artists taking the stage.  

The Osheaga 2022 lineup included headlining acts by Dua Lipa, Machine Gun Kelly, Kygo, and Alan Walker. Some popular local names included Arcade Fire, Men I Trust, and many more.  

Osheaga Music Festival: A Brief History

Osheaga is a one-of-a-kind music festival that's been held in Quebec, Montreal since 2006. The festival stays true to its motto by giving local artists a stage alongside famed international stars to perform live and showcase their talent. Ever since the first edition in 2006, Osheaga has been known to host artists like Eminem, Coldplay, Jack White, Skrillex, etc.

From the Indie rock sensation Mitski to Afro beats star Burna Boy, this multi-genre festival set Quebec ablaze with its electrifying performances.  

The electronic dance music was flagged by Norwegian DJ Kygo, who performed hits like Stargazing and Firestone.  

However, the main attraction was Dua Lipa, who performed her hits relentlessly over neatly choreographed numbers and her iconic catwalk on stage. Other notable performances included a fantastic set by Burna Boy and the ever-impressive Machine Gun Kelly.
